Shopping! But it's accumulative one.
Bought something for Lil Jo.

Replacement water bottle straw for his favourite bottle from Aunt Candy and a T-shirt, i have been looking for this kind of color for so long!

Something for myself too. T-shirt and a pair of sandal!

Like the beige color...but hubby do not like it.

Maybelline Volum’ Express Hypercurl Cat Eyes Hello Kitty Mascara

Meow Meow....Hello Kitty coming to town again. I am not a Hello Kitty fan, to be frank, not at all! But I have no idea why and since when do I slowly like this cartoon character. I just can't resist the pink bow she wearing all the time. I have no chance to grab the MAC Hello Kitty last year (sob).

But two days ago I received this awesome package from L'oreal Consumer Division PR and I founded this Maybelline Volum' Express Hypercurl Cat Eyes Hello Kitty Mascara in the envelope! Yay! Awww...the packaging is so cute! Come with the metallic pink case with the iconic Hello Kitty imprint especially the BOW.

Stella McCartney AW10

How much do we love Stella McCartney's AW10 campaign? Let us count the ways...
1) Natalia Vodianova - queen of the wide-eyed, full-lipped stare
2) Grey flannel borrowed-from-dad (if your dad was super rich and super-cool obviously) coat - *hyperventilating*
3) Cartoon graffiti bubble writing by KAWS - a stroke of genius

That is all.

Lil Jo First Day to S.C.H.O.O.L

I always think that I will send Lil Jo to school so soon, he just 3 years old now but we have been observed him for the past two months and we found that he was looking for a play mate now mean it is time to introduce him to school where he can learn the social skill. We have been looking for a few playschool and we have decided to send him to the last playschool which we have visited. Mainly, they are a language centre and their main vision is to introduce young children a new social environment and prepare them with foundation for reading and writing. We don't want to rush lil Jo to an academic orientated environment because we thought that is way too stress for a 3 years old kid to learn " 1 + 1 = ? " or things like that.

Today was his first day to school, we were so worried that he could not cope or accept the SCHOOL thing where we will leave him there with other kids and teachers. We sent him there and I have accompany him for about 15 minutes to let him settle down with his teacher, then both of us just stay somewhere out of his sight. I have observed him for a while, the environment is totally new for him or aka culture shock whereby he kept ran away from the group. Thank God, everything goes well for him after a while. He been so good boy, no crying and he did not look for us as well.

I am crying the moment I saw him taking a brush and start painting, please do not ask me why I am crying because you will know why one day when you are a mom.

Something I saw at the language centre. Kids like Crocs or the parents?

No More ENCORE

It's nail polish post. Ever since I started the job as manicurist, I hardly have the chance to dress the nail with nail polish because it will all damage during work unless I dress up my nails with acrylic or gel nail.

I have discovered a weird color but it is so lovely. It's not a common color for people to pick this kind of shade but trust me this shade will be a compliment if you are trendy person.

Here you go. It's called Encore (393) from Essie, it is grey shade with little pink tone or beige. I have no idea how to describe the color so let's the photo tell you.

Essie Encore (Code: 393)

Unfortunately, it will never be an encore again because it's a discontinue color from Essie. Oh well, I trying to look for a closes color from the existing Essie collection.

Bun, Bun, Bun and more buns!

Went out to register Lil Jo to his new school this morning then went to some places to get different stuff by the time we done whatever we need to do for today it already 2pm in the noon, we have been trying to go three of our favorite restaurant and all of them close for lunch! So we decided to go to a place which recommended by one of my customer where you can get good "polo bao" (菠萝包) aka Pineapple Bun but it does not made from any ingredient related with pineapple. It has been named pineapple bun because of the shape. The main ingredient is butter as the filling.

Hubby told me there are a lot of places selling polo bao back to Sandakan. He's grown up at Sandakan and this is one of his favorite snacks during childhood time.

Beside polo bun, this shop sells variety of bun too. Milk Butter bun, luncheon meat bun, char saw bun and a lot. You name, you find it here but except for HAIR BUN.

Did You Miss Me?

Sorry I've been away so long. It pains me that I have neglected my baby, Spoiled Pretty, for so long. But as many of you know, I have a new baby that I'm preparing for. And his due date is approaching more quickly than I could have anticipated, so I've got a lot on my plate right now.

I'm going to do my best to keep this blog up to date. But if I fall off the writing wagon for a few days, try not to hold it against me...and stop back in a day or two for more reviews, news and giveaways.

Dating Day

Oh....it has been a month we have not go out for a date. I am not working today so we have decided to go out for movie date, ticket booked yesterday morning, we going to watch Inception! Then I want to do window shopping to see what is hot in the market and trend. I mean cosmetic and fashion.

Last night, after so long, Hubby finally back to action, he cooked pasta for dinner. We went to the only market in KK which sell FRESH HERB or you call "gua lou" food like bacon or Italian sausage.

Have to drop by Lil Jo future play school later to finalise something before he get into school next week (if able to make it).

Joey

Mulberry Neely

Much as we love Alexa, the model/designer/TV presenter, we're not so mad about her namesame Mulberry bag. But the Mulberry Neely? Well that's a different story...

This squashy red envelope mesenger bag has a similar shape to the Alexa but fewer dangly bits. We love its discreet catch, chestnut leather handles and pebbly finish and apparently, so does everyone else. it's already sold out at Mywardrobe.com. Sigh...

Nailing It: OPI Funky Dunkey

I don't know what it is. But no matter how hot my nails are looking, I always have nail envy...especially when it comes to my colleague/next door office neighbor, Angela. Every other week, she shows up wearing some super hot color that gives my mani an inferiority complex.

Right now, I'm totally crushing on this grape shade (crushing - get it?) - from OPI's Shrek collection.

Mini me

We do love a miniature accessory, especially if it's a practical one. These darling folding sunglasses are from Chloe and come in an equally darling case. Perfect for travelling light whether that's a trip to the high street, a festival, or a hand-luggage only trip Ibiza. Now we just need the high street version...

Wall Letters For My Son's Nursery

Not at all beauty related, but...

A few weeks ago, I ordered custom hanging wall letters for my son's nursery. They just came in the mail, and I can't get over how amazing they turned out! I bought them from Jarrett Creations on Etsy and they personalized them based on my color preferences, animal preferences (West's room is jungle/safari themed) and the design of my crib bedding set (I sent them a link to a picture).

If you have a little one (or one on the way) and you're in the market for wall letters, I highly recommend Jarrett Creations. Even personalized, each letter only cost $7. Great product, wonderful customer service and excellent price!

Okay, back to your regularly-scheduled beauty programming...

Lindsay Lohan's Profane Nail Polish Shows Contempt for Court

A judge may have sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 90 days in jail followed by a 90 day stint in rehab, but it was the wild child - or rather her manicure - that had the last word(s).

What do you think of LiLo giving the judge the middle finger, on the down low? Should the court hold Lindsay, and her profane polish, in contempt? Or should they just be thankful her crazy ass actually showed up this time?

My American Konadi

Fellow Konaddicts.....
So after the first few fails, here are the 4th of July Konadi nails I sported.  If you read the previous 3 posts...you'll see what the delay in posting was.

I wanted to create both a konadicure that was simple on the one hand, and something remenicent of a waving flag on the other.... So I did each hand different!
Not sure if you can tell, bit with the bottom pic, I just basically used the same thumb from my marble flub and redid the other fingers.  then I remembered I wanted to do a plain mani that most people could do: red nails with a few blue and white stars.

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July, we sure did...went to the Angels ball game, and saw fire works afterward.

An adMARBLE attempt

I'm am calling this my "admarble" attempt...haha get it?  Yes, I attempted a water marble for my fourth of July konadicure.  i wanted to create a waving flag.  Well, big FAIL.  Never water marbled before, there MUST be a trick to it that I didn't hear because these are a disaster.

My white was too thick, so I used a clear coat when alternating inbetween the red and "white."
I started with a white base coat.  And my ignorance..or was it cockyness caused me to forgo the step where you tape up your nails...big mistake.

Below are pics of the first run, I removed it, taped the second time, and still ended up with a sad konadi ;(

soooo, needless to say, THOSE were NOT my 4th of July mani!

Post vacation a Nails...not pretty!

This Is a frightening post my fellow konaddicts...
THIS is what my nails looked like AFTER vacation.  Keep in mind, I had broken off both thumbs ( of my world cup mani) before leaving, never fixed them before leaving...didn't do a fill either. It was bananas here with the pre-packing saga.
how do you like that painful break in the ring finger? YIIIIKES!

the pther hand is equally jacked! (I'm a picker- so I added to the trouble with my pinky)

I decided to rip them off and start all over- no extensions.  I put fresh gel over them and formed out a couple of the nail tips.  But generally speking, I wanted to keep them short because we will be doing alot of moving stuff aroung during the construction that is about to happen in the house.

I use Young Nail gel products.  I do not use the soak off formulas anymore.  I do them myself.  On occasion, when I am out of time or motivationi'll cheat and have them done.  That's what happened before the trip.  I had acrylic put on....eeeewwww.  It yellowed and the tips lifted. Just a mess.  That is why I ripped them off and started fresh.  I think the gel has a cleaner look.  I used to do acrylic, and forgot how they wear.  There really is a difference (on my nails) with how they feel and wear.

So there you are, I have a new pallet for painting (even though they are short!)

thank god for the internet...finally!

Hello fello Konaddicts!
well, i hope you all had a wonderful July 4th.  I am back from chicago, and let me show you what's been keeping me.

Well, as I mentioned last post, I had a water pipe burst inbetween the walls The DAY BEFORE LEAVING.  This is the damage it caused

and mean while I moved my computer into the kitchen...but i moved it today, because the company that came to tear out all the damaged flooring and walls had to unplug the router for my internet while moving the office ( oh did I mention the office, laundryroom and garage were affected?)
so I intended to blog a few days ago, but no cable internet ...that is until this heroic van pulled up!

so- hooray for the cable guy!

Now, real quick, I wanted to show you a few pics from Chicago.  ( I typically like to keep my posts strictly Konadicure related...but will make vacation exceptions)

My sister (who lives in nebraska) and her family met us in Chicago.  It was great because all the cousins got to hang out.  Most of the pictures are of the kids.

me and my big sissy )and her amazing eyes!)

The kids at the Hersheys store.  Keith let them do the machine that dumps chocolate by the bucketfull! No kidding.

the Jelly Bean in millenium park ( that's my Alex)
again, my Keith with the sweets, the kids got freshly spun cotton candy

Above Navy Pier Alex is in Purple, the rest of those beauties are my sisters.

a refreshing dip on the walk back to the hotel

and Keith & I took pics at the Museum of Science and Industry with the kids
My Charlie is in pink, and lex is in the aqua leggings.
how cute are they on the bus!  COUSINS!

Thanks for reading.
