"When we think of the future of fashion, we think slick and cold. In fact, the next generation of designer is bent on making clothes more ornate, experimental, and intricately decorated to traffic-stopping results."

When we first laid eyes on this spread, a cry of "OH THANK GOD" was heard from our lips. You see, we're not sure if anyone noticed this and we don't want to rock anyone's world too much with this shocking revelation, but the fashion world can be awfully repetitive and narrow at times.

We know! We were shocked too!

Anyway, our point is, we just didn't know if we had it in us to feature another editorial of one model in front of a non-descript backdrop, in the same poses and same dresses we've seen a dozen times already. Granted, the "city street" editorial isn't exactly new, but there's an energy to this one because the designers are all "up and coming," which means the dresses are eye-catching and a little bit more interesting (to us, anyway) than the latest from Oscar de la Renta or Michael Kors or even Marc Jacobs.

We also like how they broke it down. First, the black and whites:

Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Graeme Armour, Pedro Lourenço, Simone Rocha, David Koma, Hakaan

Then, the crazy graphic pieces:

Carven, Risto, Mary Katrantzou, Holly Fulton

And finally, the wild colors and prints.

Louise Gray [No exact match], Marco de Vincenzo, Michael Van Der Ham,
Meadham Kirchhoff, J. W. Anderson

Fab! Amirite? It would be hard for us to pick out a favorite look. We're partial to the work of Mary Katrantzou, which we've featured here before, but we also like the David Koma in the first row and the Carven and Holly Fulton in the second row. But enough of our opinions. What dress featured here intrigues you so much that you want to click on the designer's name (at the top of the post) to learn more about them?
