Hi Mario,

I love eye shadow, but I don't know how to wear them. I usually only wear one shade at a time because I don't know how to mix and match and blend them together to create a more sophisticated look. Do you have any tips or color combination recommendations?

Dear Taylor,

Eyeshadow application only gets better with practice. If you don't already have a few good brushes, make that a priority. Generally, a lighter shade should be applied to the lids and/or brow bone. A darker, matte shade looks great applied along the crease of the eyes. Using a clean brush or one dipped in some loose powder, blend the shades together for a flawless finish. For added drama, apply an even darker shadow to the outer corners of the eyes. Check out my youtube videos for a clear demonstration of how to apply eyeshadows.
