Ryan Gosling chats to fans and signs autographs
after appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in Los Angeles.
Just to reiterate the whole "Man on the Street" thing, because some aren't getting it: men on the red carpet are almost uniformly dull. The key word being "uniformly," since that's essentially what they all wear: a uniform. That's why there are so few men in the "IN or OUT" posts. On the other hand, male celebs in less artificial surroundings tend to dress in more interesting ways. Because these are not red carpet pics, it's not the Olympic styling competition that is an "IN or OUT" post, so we don't really feel the need to judge them so harshly. Sure, they all have a pretty good idea of when they're going to be photographed and dress accordingly, but it's not tens of thousands of dollars of borrowed clothing picked out by someone else, so we tend to take a lighter approach.
Having said that, the combination of Ryan's Mr. Rogers cardigan and his tight jeans are making him look a skosh on the hippy side. Also, jeans are not dress pants and unlike dress pants, they actually look better with a little bit of puddling around the ankle. The tailored hem length with the grey shoes just isn't working for us, dear.
You're still cute as a button, though.
